Description

This week, we discussed a classic gay book adaptation to bring in the spooky season. Lina and Najah go over the list of gay offenses committed by Theo/Claire Bloom in the film, obsess over her gay acting choices, and discuss the overall queer implications of the novel and film. Lina rants about a frustrating encounter with her neighbor, Najah goes into an in-depth explanation of their love for recording audio on set, and Lina recounts Laura Peterson and Bradley Jackson's dykey activities on the sixth episode of The Morning Show. In lieu of trivia, we give our take on straight actors playing gay roles and address the problem with perpetuating a narrative of queer suffering among the queer community.
