The pulse beats out beacon in the nighttime
The pulse beats through deeps of inky sky
The pulse beats down halls of broken dreaming
Echoing the cry of legend light.
Br:
Pulse of the light -
The Light beating, etc.
Vs:
Mid mystery and superstition
Came to life one night a vision
Night sky beaming, reeling in wonder.
Some remote star exploding.
A single tine of light was pointing.
Some beings—as if winged—were singing.
Vs:
Now we turn from primal bias.
And follow lead from men of science.
As we question, “What’s gone on in heaven?”
Illogic and ignorance
Here no longer have a place…
As we turn our ears to outer space.
Br:
Pulse of the light -
The Light beating, etc.
Ch1:
The pulse beats out beacon in the nighttime
The pulse beats through deeps of inky sky
The pulse beats down halls of broken dreaming
Echoing the cry of legend light.
Vs:
The heart of this star beats still
For the souls who will to thrill
To the era of the One who sets to burning
Bodies spinning up in heaven,
Hearts orbiting men within,
Gets the rhythm going for a new way of living.
Br:
Pulse of the light -
The Light beating, etc.
Vs:
A sign, when the brilliant star had burst
That the Light had reached the earth.
Sacrifice for heaven—giant leap for mankind.
Now a murmur from afar
A pulsar from that fallen star,
Skeptic listeners can’t believe their ears.
Ch2:
The pulse beats out beacon in the nighttime
The pulse beats down walls and walls of night.
The pulse beats in code for listening souls
Echoing the voice of a beckoning Light.
Br:
Pulse of the light -
The Light beating, etc.
