Nicholas Hoult and Nicolas Cage star in this latest release from Chris McKay; 'Renfield’. Being the Count’s familiar, Renfield is manipulated and controlled leading Renfield to breaking point and wanting out of this toxic relationship – cue the laughter and body count, as the film has a good chunk of both!
Penned by Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), the film does have that comic book feel within this world, as well the editing and action (and blood) that the film showcases. The performances from the 2 leads are of course brilliant, and the film overall is a good laugh – even though the subplots within this release are quite underwhelming.
