Disgust is one of those emotions that feels particularly gross. However, it's a perfectly normal human emotion. Disgust is often triggered when we focus on imperfections or when something isn't meeting our expectation. Even though the experience of disgust is not pleasant, there are specific rules that drive disgust. And when you know what they are, you can recognize them when they are happening and train something else.
In this week's Performance Tune-Up, I discuss disgust and how it gets conditioned in the nervous system, as well as ways to condition other emotions instead.
In this week's Performance Tune-Up, I break down the rules power plays by, and how to train it so that you experience it in life.
