Feeling sad is a perfectly normal emotion. When my dog, Spencer, died last year, I really allowed myself to experience the sadness of that loss for a few days. The challenge with sadness is when we allow it to loop and don't know how to get out of it. There are rules to sadness and when you know what they are, you can redirect and create a different experience.

In this week's Performance Tune-Up, I break down the thought strategies sadness employs, and give you tips on how to redirect the mind to diminish it.
