Description

Have you ever looked at rocks and thought "man those are some neat rocks"? Well some of our ancestors looked at rocks and thought "man those rocks could look neater". Welcome to the world of megalithic petrosculputures (or rock sculptures for our more discerning listeners). Of course you know of some of the more famous examples of this like Stonehenge and the stone sculptures on Easter Island. Today we explore two such examples you may not be aware of that are shrouded in mystery. For those who think I got lazy in naming this episode you gotta trust me, listen to the episode... it's clever, it's good!

Our first portion turns to Central America (mostly Costa Rica) where ancient inhabitants decided it was a good use of their time to cut and shape giant spherical rocks for an ancient sport know as Bo-wli-ng... At least that's the reason I assume (and the other explanations just don't cut it). Come listen to the pride of Costa Rica! (the rocks... not us... yet)

We then turn our eyes to Laos where we discuss the ancient plain of jars. What this plain of jars site lacks in creative naming, it more than makes up for in mysteries and enigmas. Why did an unknown civilization build them? Why were they placed where they were? Why are they not known about? well some of these may be answered and well maybe Henry Kissinger makes a surprise appearance.

In the intro we discuss updates to the Gabriel Wortman case, as per our sacred oath. And we also talk about a study you can participate in if you have psychic powers and an at home DNA test! (https://www.research.net/r/6GY7L78?RespondentID=2961171)
