Kingdom Success Everywhere with Doc Murphy Season Two – Episode One “Understanding Apostolic Ministry”
Welcome to Season Two of Kingdom Success Everywhere! I’m your host, Doc Murphy, and we’re kicking off with a critical conversation—Understanding Apostolic Ministry.
Let’s get something clear right from the start: Jesus gave the global mission—to go into all the world and make disciples—to apostles, not pastors, evangelists, prophets, teachers, or deacons.
His final meeting before ascending wasn’t a general gathering—it was a focused staff meeting with the apostles. The command was direct: “Go. Preach. Teach all nations. Everywhere.” That wasn’t optional. And it wasn’t for everybody.
This was, and still is, an apostolic mission.
Apostles are the ones sent out to establish congregations. Once those churches are planted, pastors are set in place to shepherd and guide them. But too often today, we see evangelists and prophets trying to lead movements or plant churches—roles they were never commissioned to fulfill. It’s created confusion and instability in the Body of Christ.
Let’s make this distinction:
Pastors are ordained to lead local congregations. Apostles are sent to plant, build, establish order, and raise up leadership—especially pastors. That’s the divine structure.
What’s happening today is this: many are going everywhere without being sent. They’re out of order, out of grace, and outside the apostolic blueprint. The result? Weak churches and misplaced leadership. The Church is in trouble because we’ve drifted from the apostolic foundation Jesus set.
Apostles were always meant to lead the Body of Christ—and it’s time we return to that divine order.
In this new season, we’re diving deep. You’ll discover what the apostolic office truly is, how apostles function like admiral leaders in the Kingdom, and why restoring apostolic authority is essential to building strong, Spirit-led churches everywhere.
Let’s get into it. This is Kingdom Success Everywhere.
