Description

In episode 1, I share my testimony so that you the listener can understand where I am coming from and my background. Also why I am so passionate about discipling the addict who is coming out of addiction and into the kingdom of God and the role that we the church can play into that. That’s what I do as a Pastor and founder/Executive director of “Be the Bush Recovery Ministries” as well as “Miriam House” our home for women. We are long term faith-based residential program, who takes in folks with life-controlling issues, disciple them, and put them in environments to have encounters with Jesus. When we do that we watch them change and transform right before our eyes. I was introduced to drugs and alcohol at 11 years old and by 13 became what society calls a functioning addict until all of that came crashing down. I started dealing drugs as well around this age that took me down a path I never thought I would take. Towards the end of my run, my identity could no longer be found in sports, drug dealing, or social status I was simply just another addict looking for my next high. That’s when Jesus stepped onto the scene. I haven’t been the same since.
