In Episode 67 of Keep the Hotel Empty we have kept the Hotel empty to Welcome in Brockford Lee. Brockford shares with us how a start in the Amish / Mennonite communities in Ohio gave way for delving into Gospel Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop was only just the start however. Brockford recalls some of the staples of the early 2000s scene such as the classic battle raps. Though he was just starting to find the depths of his musical voice he knew it would be a significant part of his life. Soon Lee would pick up guitar and begin to write "songs". He shares the nature of these pieces and how they have always been there for him from that early time on. Brockford candidly opens up about his struggles with alcohol addiction and how the sobriety he has achived has opened up a freshness o his life and reinvigorated the fluency of his creative process.
