Advent, from the Latin for "coming forth" is a time of holy anticipation, holy transformation, and, for many of us, stress over the impending Christmas season! When we look at Sacred Scripture, and particularly the actions of Mary and Joseph, what can we learn about the power of patience? So too the Israelites, who had been waiting on the Messiah for about 4,000 years before Jesus' birth can teach us a bit about preparing and waiting.
