Which culminated in his retirement as an esteemed assistant chief from the Casper Police Department. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in shaping departmental policies, implementing innovative crime prevention strategies, and fostering positive community relations. Recognized for his leadership qualities and passion for community development, Steve transitioned into public service and successfully served as both vice mayor and mayor in his beloved hometown Casper.
Over two terms as mayor, he spearheaded various initiatives to enhance the quality of life for residents, prioritizing economic growth, infrastructure improvements, and sustainable development.
Steve also occupied the role of a Natrona County Commissioner where he continued to contribute his invaluable expertise to the betterment of the entire county.
