"In life, it's during the storms and challenging seasons that we often struggle to see the lessons or recognize their significance. It's easy to feel overwhelmed, under attack, or even victimized by our circumstances.

In this season of trials, particularly within my marriage, I've come to realize the true strength of our relationship. When things are smooth sailing, it's simple to claim that our marriage is robust, but it's during the rough patches that we truly put it to the test.

As many of you know, my wife lost her job last December. We've been weathering the storm with the grace of God and our love for each other. However, it hasn't been without its challenges. We've had heated discussions about finances, the need for space, and much more. This season has given me the opportunity to express my frustrations and resentments openly, which has been both difficult and cathartic.

Finances and resentment were significant issues we had to confront, along with the unrealistic expectations we placed on ourselves and our marriage. Through sometimes uncomfortable conversations, we've been able to communicate effectively and strengthen our bond.

I challenge you to reflect on the strength of your relationships. If you've never weathered a storm together, have you truly grown? It's not about having disrespectful arguments, but rather engaging in open dialogue about the uncomfortable topics we often avoid.

Let's make these uncomfortable conversations the new norm, as they are essential for growth and resilience in any relationship."
