On this week's episode, Jeff speaks with Robert Jones Black. Robert is the great-grandson of golf legend, Bobby Jones. Robert shares how he uses his personal experiences and his love and lineage for golf to maximize the impact of the game of golf while exploring new ways to enhance the visibility of sport’s greatest game. Robert started the Generation Next Project to address the youth mental health crisis. The charity’s “Change Your Course” program launching in 2023 is an “experiential learning” instructional program offered at two of golf’s premier courses in the South East. Each retreat is an on-the-course, guided experience combining lessons in golf and lessons in life. Built on a foundation of mental wellness principles, Change Your Course teaches parents and teens how to perform and thrive in any situation. If a golfer can connect their on-course emotional response with their daily response to emotions, they are more likely to better handle adversity throughout the course of their life.
