We can look all around us and see that our cities, states, and countries are consumed with trouble, untimely death, people overdosing on drugs, single parenting households, divorce, discrimination, and the list goes on and on. When adversity comes, we are forced to face problems and pressures that are too big for us to resolve. In this way, God gets our attention. We can’t continue to pursue our goals, tasks, and relationships in the same manner. We have to stop and evaluate our situation, ask God for wisdom, obey His Word, and trust Him to bring the help we need.
One of hardest things to do in the midst of these deleterious situations is to see the Lord’s hand at work in it all. You may find yourself asking questions such as . . . I’m too bad for God to love me? How do I live my life for the Lord? What is the kingdom of God? What must I do to enter the kingdom of God in the Bible? You may ask yourself; how can I possibly live for a life as a Christian in the midst of so many negative influences in the world.
Our guest today will provide answers to these thought provoking questions as she shares spiritual principles from the Word of God that will help you grow closer to Him.
Evangelist Thanika Minor was raised in Chicago, Illinois where she obtained her early education through high school. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized and filled with the holy ghost. As a young child, she was goal-oriented, outspoken, driven, independent, and respectful. Vocationally she has worked in the public sector for over 25 years with a good portion of those years as a blue-collar worker.
Thanika is currently a spiritual life coach and a small business owner.She is happily married to her former high school sweetheart, Pastor Laquando Minor Sr. They are happy and blessed parents of four adult children, two grandchildren, and two bonus adult children. When her husband followed the Holy Spirit’s leading to establish a church, Thanika made the transition with him and continues to support him in service.
As the First Lady of Living Water Christian Church in Mt Vernon Illinois, she serves in administration and as an Evangelist.Thanika is very nurturing, has a heart to serve, and is gifted in administration and leadership. She works bi-vocationally (pressing to fulfill God's call while maintaining full-time employment).
Her life mission is to please God, as she follows His command in the Great Commission to spread the Christian message and convert others to Christianity.
Our prayer for you today is, as you come to God with you needs, that your inward prayer would echo these words of the Psalmist: “Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies’ triumph over me” (Psalm 25:1–2).
