Description

Our featured guest on this episode of the Lotus Flower is my nephew, Jarod Haymon.

Some relationships are exceptional. One such relation is of the aunts with their nephews. It could be because they are the replica of your siblings. They are loving, caring, and always there for you, like your brother or sister. Though younger, nephews make you feel comfortable and content.

They may have unique personalities. Some nephews are like thunderbolts, and whenever you look dull, they might suddenly appear dancing and singing, filling your vacuum with their zest. In contrast, some can be a bit shy but open their heart and start speaking about unending topics whenever they get comfortable.

If I could give my nephew one thing in life, it would be the ability to see himself through my eyes. Only then would he realize how special he is to me. I thank God to blessing me with the best nephew.

Jarod was born on October 1st, 1993, to (the late Mr./Ms. Will and Marilyn Haymon). He grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia with his parents and three siblings (Jamal 1st Born, Kamil 2nd Born, and Kayla 4th born).

When Jarod was growing up, he had dreams of becoming a professional football player, playing for his local high school football team, and having his eyes set on college. But the Lord had different plans for Jarod’s life. At the early age of 17 Jarod made the brave decision to join the U.S. Navy. While in the military Jarod had many of accomplishments and achievements. An example of one was being meritoriously advanced to Petty Officer Third Class and becoming the Senior Warehouse Technician over four different sailors.

During Jarod’s time in the military is when he met his now wife, Patrycia. They have enjoyed eight years of marriage and have had three beautiful children whose names are Ava, Jaxon, and Anaya.

In the year of 2018 is when the Lord started calling Jarod back to the church. Jarod started to remember his parents taking him to church week in and week out. Never missing a Sunday service and how he was brought up on Christian principles. Starting to come to the realization that he had never surrendered his life to Christ Jarod made the life changing decision of being baptized in March of 2019.

From there Jarod has completely surrendered his life over to the Lord and has become a leader at his local church. And has also started his own street preaching ministry.

Jarod currently is working as a Fuels System Superintendent with an environmental agency called Weston Solutions. His hobbies are playing flag football, the guitar, and the occasional video game. His likes are spending quality time with his wife and kids and building a stronger relationship with them. Instilling in them the same morals and values his parents did him.
