As a Proverb 31:10 woman who lives her life based on the premise from the Word of God, Marylee Morton life mirrors empathy and compassion. She walks, displays, and intentionally lives as a follower of Jesus Christ. Marylee is a native of Muskegon, Michigan. She currently has resided in Kalamazoo, Michigan for the past nine years. Marylee is married to the love of her life, Mr. Joseph Morton. She is the mother of two adult sons, and a nana of six wonderful grandchildren.
Marylee’s background includes her studies at Spring Arbor College in Christian Counseling. Moreover, she holds an Associates of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Baker College. Marylee also holds the following certifications from the State of Michigan, Social Work Technician, Suicide Prevention Specialist, Family Preservation Specialist, and Community Outreach Specialist. She is a Motivational Speaker whose aim is to empower disenfranchised, hurting women. Likewise, as a Marriage and Family Coach, she is highly skilled in Motivational and Forensic Interviewing. Marylee has diligently served her community through volunteering at The Salvation Army Christmas Store, Visiting Nurses Hospice, Hospice of Michigan, created and prepared “Love Bags” for a homeless community, and read stories to sick children at the Mercy Hospital's Children’s Ward.
Marylee’s passion and love shines brightly with her infectious smile as she walks out her mission to create a positive change in the hearts of everyone she encounters. Conversely, as an esteemed Author of the book “Unstoppable Gems" an Anthology, Marylee's love for writing pushed her to pen her second book which focuses on empowering and giving a voice to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The book is slated to be released in July 2022.
Additionally, she is the sole owner of “His Image Ministries, LLC.” The ministry provides mentorship services and family coaching to people in urban communities. Likewise, she is a Certified Notary for the State of Michigan and is an Independent Associate with Legal Shield (PPLSI). Marylee’s passion is to encourage, inspire, and empower women of all ages and ethnicities with the tools become business owners, and with the ability to make positive choices that will create purposeful lifestyles.
