Many things surprise a narcissist because they have the demon of assumption that causes them to think everyone else thinks and does what they think and do. Narcissists don't know how to handle it when chosen ones come along and don't think the same way they do or do the same things they do. We often were met with arguing mouths when we voiced a difference of opinion or we shared that we don't have something in common with a narcissist.
