Episode 14: Arianna interviews Jocelyn Rivas. Jocelyn is an Indigenous Latina, ultra-marathoner, 2x 100 miler finisher and 124 marathon finisher. In this episode, Jocelyn talks about her running journey and the importance of representation on the course.
Jocelyn was born in El Salvador with a broken back, neck and feet with very little chance of her ever walking. She eventually healed, migrated to the U.S. and discovered running at the age of 16. Jocelyn is now a marathon world record holder for the youngest woman and Latina to run 100 marathons. She's an ambassador for the Women's Sports Foundation, LA Marathon Ambassador, SF Marathon Ambassador. She advocates for women in sports, women safety, women rights and women menstrual cycles. She advocates for immigrants, DREAMERS, BIPOC athletes and much more
