I love it because it's profound in its simplicity. It's first principles thinking.
If you drill down on all of the strategies, tactics, and best practices that are taught by all the gurus, experts and coaches, they all boil down to this:
Take intelligent actions that move the ball forward toward your goals and objectives, and do it on a daily basis.
Digital Samurai recommends clients fix what we call technology chaos. Which is any friction between you and your data, you and your team members, I can't find that file, the link didn't work, I couldn't open the document.
One of the most important daily disciplines you can employ today is naming files. People are lazy they don't name files and they don't put them in a specific folder, so they can't find them when they need them.
By spending a few extra seconds naming files when you save them, you can save as much as 25% of your time.
And be intelligent about the name. I tell clients to use keywords in the name that you'll remember a year from now.
Then on an ongoing basis, question your assumptions, test your methods, make data-driven decisions, create systems and processes to automate as many things as possible, and pivot when necessary.
If you do those things, if you demonstrate tenacity, perseverance and Grit, you will achieve your goals.
There are problems in the world. Pick a problem you can barely lift and resolve to solve it.
If you do so with humility, introspection, and gratitude, with a singular focus on delivering value, you will be successful, and your life will have purpose and meaning.
