In this episode, I introduce you to Dion Powell.
Dion is a native of the Bronx and NYC political operative with a specialization in strategy. He has over 20 years of collective education, experience, and most importantly network in the realm of politics, government, and civics. Dion has always been in the know of how political action works real time in the areas of the board of elections, campaign strategies, and legislative policies.
Some of the civic engagement organizations and boards he is and has been on are the Bronx Branch NAACP, BLEXIT New York, NYS Democrats (Caucus of Color Chair), NY Urban League: Young Professionals, the Bronx chapter of the National Action Network (NAN), The Bronx Arc of Justice Chapter, the Black Alumni Association, Urban Youth Initiative, American Association of Political Consultants, Professional Consultants Association, Parliamentarians of Metro New York, Frederick Douglas Leadership Institute, and many more.
Civic engagement has become part of his lifestyle and he is known as “The Super Strategist” and “The Community’s Consultant”. He has a talent for studying the political and governmental climate to advise on navigating those systems.
