Description

Oscar Collazos' parents made love sometime in the early spring of 1978. He lived inside of my mother’s womb until he was evicted by her inability to keep having him mooch off of her, or in other words, nature. Oscar lived in Cali, Colombia until 1986 when his family moved to Plantation, Florida – the most magical place on earth. Oscar attended Plantation High School where he was on the football team and step team. He wanted a Caprice Classic. After high school Oscar attended the University of Florida, where he attending Coach Spurrier's meeting for potential walk on players. During his last year at UF, Oscar interned at Late Night with Conan O’Brien where he gained the motivation to get into comedy. For the last 15 years Oscar has traveled the world spreading his twisted views, unique humor, and crazy immigrant family stories. Oscar has been featured on XM/Sirius Radio and appeared on ESPN and Comedy Central commercials as well as smaller roles in movies and television. You can find him entertaining audiences inside comedy clubs and all the way to legendary places like the Apollo Theater as well as working alongside comedy greats such as Tracy Morgan, Daniel Tosh, Bruce Bruce and many others, including John Moses who makes a special guest appearance on this podcast. Professionally trained at the prestigious Upright Citizens Brigade, Oscar is an excellent improviser who has gone on to win multiple comedy contests – most recently the Seminole Hard Rock Casino Comedian’s Ball in Southwest Florida that featured a $7,000 first-place prize. In typical comedian fashion, that money lasted less than a week and he has absolutely nothing to show for it. Oscar also loves cats. Oscar is also the organizer of the touring show, Hilarious Colombian Americans. Get more info about Oscar at www.oscarcollazos.com and follow Oscar across all social media at @colombiancomic
