In 1986, Vancouver, Canada completed 100 years, its centennial year. A city which was up until that time considered “sleepy”, suddenly was at the centre of everything. Something happened in 1986 that changed how people saw Vancouver. And that change was Expo-86.
The expo brought Vancouver to centre stage, but along with that it also brought with it decades long headache for residents of this West coast city. What was that headache? Leaky condo crisis.
