When you think about it, there were many options available for God to introduce His Son into the world: via an aristocratic family or with a huge fanfare of pomp and pageantry etc. But no, God chose humble, inconsequential people to play the key roles in that first Christmas drama. The miraculous thing is, that’s exactly the method He uses today to bring in His Kingdom rule.
