April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. In this episode we go through Daisy Coleman's survivor story, and discuss the paralleled barriers and challenges that sexual assault victims may go through. March 30th, which was Daisy's birthday, is now known as "Daisy Day"; it's a day to remember the important and impactful advocacy work that she did. Daisy Coleman was featured in the award winning documentary "Audrie & Daisy" that highlights the sexual assault stories of both Daisy Coleman and Audrie Pott. We break down misconceptions and unfortunately common reactions that victims and survivors may face, in hopes of bringing awareness in how to better support victims and survivors. Rest in peace Audrie & Daisy.
