Assistant Chief Nelson has worked in every area of law enforcement and most recently she was the Chief of Police for the Maxton (NC) Police Department. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Upper Iowa University, two master’s degrees, and is a current Doctoral Candidate focusing on Public Policy and Administration from Walden University.
