Description

The St. Augustine Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse on the northeastern coast of Florida, originally built in 1874 to guide ships along the Atlantic shoreline. Standing 165 feet tall, it features a distinctive black-and-white spiral pattern and offers panoramic views to visitors who climb its 219 steps. Today, the site also functions as a maritime museum, showcasing exhibits on local shipwrecks, coastal history, and lighthouse keepers’ lives.
