Sunday, September 8, 2024
The first great end of the Church is the proclamation of the gospel for the salvation of humankind. The church is called to proclaim the gospel, to share the good news of God. And we do this not only with what we proclaim, but also in how we proclaim it.

Current Series: The Great Ends of the Church
More than one hundred years ago our denomination adopted a set of six "great ends of the Church," a succinct but comprehensive outline of the Church's purpose in the world. So many years later, these statements still remind us of the full depth and breadth of what it means to be the body of Christ. It is an extraordinary challenge to keep all six of these great ends in focus in our life and work as a congregation, but they are essential to discovering who we are meant to be and what we are called to do.
