Isaiah 55:1-9

The prophet Isaiah reminds us that God's ways are higher than our ways, and God's thoughts are higher than our thoughts. This is self-evidently true. However, this truth has often been used to short-circuit honest and faithful attempts to reach a deeper understanding of the nature and work of God. These words are not meant to close down reflection or thought; on the contrary, they are meant to open to us a world of divine mystery that we are generously invited to discover and explore.
