The God of Old (Part 3)
Genesis 11:1-9
Sunday, January 26, 2025
In the story of the Tower of Babel, God steps in to frustrate human ingenuity and cooperation—or at least that's one way to read the story. Read from a slightly different angle, we get a very early picture of how God relates to the nations of the world. The God of this story is unquestionably sovereign, but the full meaning of this sovereignty is not always clear to Israel, or to the church.

As Christians we believe that the best way to understand the nature of God is to look at Jesus. But that doesn't mean that Jesus is the only way to know God; we learn a lot about God's character and work through the many stories and writings of the Old Testament. This series looks at some of the key attributes that we discover about God long before God is revealed to us in Jesus Christ.
