Description

Join Joe McDonald as he reads from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, diving into the raw and emotional experiences outlined in the early pages of the book. Reflecting on the challenges many face, Joe discusses the importance of discovering personal spirituality and understanding that the answers lie within.

“But don’t assume they know everything about you to inform you about your life purpose. That’s nonsense. The answers for you are in you. Does that make sense? So our own conception, however inadequate, was sufficient to make the approach and effect the contact with Him. It is my responsibility to acknowledge the knock. Now that I understand the various ways this power has tried to encounter me and awaken me, it is my responsibility to search diligently within and try and improve that relationship.”

Joe’s discussion sheds light on these universal challenges while offering a message of hope and the possibility of transformation through the 12-step recovery process. This session emphasizes the importance of reaching out for help and the power of the support found within recovery communities.
