My guest this episode, and the first one for Pride Month, is Ashley Lynn Hengst.
Ashley Lynn Hengst (She/Her) is a Cuban American lesbian from Miami and the host of "The Unlearning Podcast" - a gentle deconstruction podcast focused on thinking critically about life-limiting theology in the Christian faith. Ashley is a graduate of Claremont School of Theology and works in pastoral care at All Saints Church in Pasadena. Ashley is a parishioner at St. Mark's Altadena, where she worships with her wife Jen and their one year old baby girl, Ruth Ellen.
We talked about all things Pride, from its herstory to how important it is to each of us. I loved that we both came to this conversation with curiosity and openness.
