In this week's edition we also speak with bandleader/musician/educator Steven Oquendo about his Steven Oquendo Latin Jazz Orchestra's upcoming performance, 8 pm, Tuesday, March 12th, at SONY Hall (235 W. 46th St, NY, NY.) Steven also presents for the very first time an unreleased live track, "Machito Forever," (composed by Tito Puente.), The performance was recorded in May 2023 at Dizzy's Club as part of a four-day residency in tribute to Tito Puente and Tito Rodriguez -- a Centennial Celebration at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
