Julian Montgomery, better known by his stage name Sunny Redd13, was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At 42 years old, Sunny Redd13 has dedicated over three decades to the rap industry, beginning his journey into music at the age of 10. His early start laid a strong foundation for a career that would see him evolve into a respected artist, particularly in the battle rap scene over the past 12 years.
Sunny Redd13 is not only an accomplished rapper but also a savvy businessman. Thanks to his relationship he's built with The One Ladivee, he is the owner of Redd Handed Records LLC, an influential indie label that boasts major distribution from The Orchard, a subsidiary of Sony Records. This significant achievement underscores his impact on the industry, allowing him to bring his unique sound to a broader audience. For the past two years, his career has been expertly managed by Punkin Seedz Productions, ensuring his music reaches and resonates with fans around the world.
His discography is extensive, featuring eight mixtapes and seventeen singles available on all major streaming platforms. His presence in the rap community is further solidified by over twenty performances and more than twenty features since 2021. Notably, he has opened for Louie Ray and played a key role in sponsoring shows by Chubb Rock and Mr. Cheeks in Idlewild, Michigan.
