Jennifer Dikum Wakili better known by her stage name Mz Wakili is a Ghana based Nigerian Singer-Songwriter. Born in Kaduna, Nigeria, she has lived equally in both countries, spending the first half of her life in Nigeria before moving to Ghana to attend Baptist High School and then Ghana Communication Technology University where she obtained a degree in Information and Communication Technology. She currently lives in Accra, Ghana.
The talented artist started singing in her early childhood. She joined the school choir where she performed at School events and Social nights. At 19, she began to focus on music professionally as a career path and started to gain recognition and respect in professional circles. She is known for fusing the Hausa language in her lyrics in addition to English.
In June 2023, she released her debut Single on the Wonder 4 Music label titled “Ali”, an ode to her late father. She quickly followed that up with her eponymously titled EP Mz Wakili, followed by a single titled “Gobe”. She is gearing up to kick off 2024 with the release of her first full studio album titled “Soro” on January 2nd 2024.
