In this Raised By Video episode, the Doggett brothers discuss Nicolas Cage’s first-ever western. In The Old Way, Cage plays a retired mercenary who is pulled back into his old ways by a tragedy. His young daughter tags along as they seek revenge.
We can’t help but compare this film to much better westerns, like Unforgiven, but we have a lot of fun discussing this one. There is talk of ninja cowboys, crappy villains, and jelly beans. Plus, we all sit in awe of the mustache Cage sports for a small portion of this movie. (“Bring back the mustache!”)
