From “gritty action thriller” to “wait, is this a comedy?”
It’s hard not to compare a sequel to its predecessor, but we try our best as we discuss The Accountant 2 in this week’s episode.
From Ben Affleck’s confusing character shift and the convoluted plot, to the poor writing and more John Bernthall than some of us can handle, there’s a lot to say about this film. Luckily, the mess gives us plenty of material, and we somehow manage to keep the episode shorter than the actual movie.
The Accountant 2 is a 2025 action-comedy film directed by Gavin O'Connor and written by Bill Dubuque. It stars Ben Affleck, Jon Bernthal, J. K. Simmons, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, and Daniella Pineda.
