In this episode I talk about illusion and perception.Often, in the dismantling of illusions or of our perceptions of ourself, others, or situations, it can feel extremely unsettling. It can also be a welcomed breath of fresh air as we "see" more than we did before. We might feel disillusioned, cheated, lied to, or like we wasted our precious time. Or we're frustrated because we didn’t see then what now appears to be dangling in front of us in plain sight. Because what we thought we knew, is now changing and/or different, it can create cognitive dissonance and serious discomfort. And we know that the human brain prefers comfort, safety, and perceived certainty. In this episode I talk about the beauty and difficulty of having something or someone being unveiled or perceived through a new lens.
