Description

Sean turned to alcohol at a young age to numb pain and escape trauma, beginning a 30+ year cycle of addiction. By 15, he was involved in gang life on Chicago’s South Side, searching for acceptance he couldn’t find at home. He witnessed friends murdered, lost his brother to suicide, spent nearly 10 years incarcerated, and lost two marriages and his children to addiction. On September 6, 2019, Sean got sober and his life began to change. Today, his focus is God, recovery, and giving back. He’s pursuing the dream his mother always had for him—to become a preacher or drug and alcohol counselor—and using his story to show that redemption is possible, no matter how far someone has fallen.
