Description

When Isabella Stewart Gardner passed away in 1924, she left her amazing collection of artwork "for the education and enjoyment of the public forever." However, on an unassuming night in March of 1990, an astonishing number of these precious pieces went missing. Possibly forever. With suspects from previous art thieves to local mobsters, the FBI, along with many others around the world, were left confounded. Who were the culprits, and what happened to the beautiful, irreplaceable masterpieces?
