Yesterday, 12/4/22, was the 1st planned terrorist attack by right wing extremist groups (white power, Neo Nazi, etc) that has been planned by these groups to bring America's power grid down. All it takes is to attack just five power substations and the entire grid on the eastern seaboard can be brought down putting America into the dark ages. This info has been published in Inspector General reports for quite some time and Homeland Security and the FBI have talked about the "possibilities" since 2007. The reality is it is HERE NOW. What is CONGRESS, the FBI and HOMELAND SECURITY doing to prevent this, to harden the the grid, these substations from such attacks? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. In the meantime, you might want to purchase a gas generator as a back up so you can have some power like the 100,000 citizens of Charlottesville, and surrounding communities are now having to deal with. Laws need to be changed and hardened and laws against being able to join such home grown terror groups need to be passed.
