Description

This week we see the Team Rocket gym leaders join forces with the good guys to stop the elite four. They all pair off for this and each runs into one except one pair by the end of the volume. We are treated to intense battles, awesome uses of Pokemon abilities, strange window mirror things, and some awesome surprises and twists at the end of the volume. Warning!!! There are spoilers here and so if you want to experience it firsthand, avoid the Manga portion of this episode...which is most of this.

In the anime, the gang meet the perfect solution to fire fighting...teams of Squirtle and its evolutions. We also meet a really obnoxious kid that does lead to some cool moments for Snorlax and then, Ash takes on one more gym and the way this one is handled is like no other so far. It's a battle gym but there is an interesting twist, and if Ash can win then he is on his way to the Orange League championship.

Meanwhile, we're left wondering whether or not Violet caught that Clefairy all while Midori tries not to drown battling other Clefairy. But it seems the worst is possibly yet to come.
