Children hold a special place in the heart of Jesus. In Mark 10, when the disciples tried to push them aside, Jesus became indignant and said, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” He then took them in His arms, blessed them, and affirmed their eternal value.
In this passage, we’re reminded of two vital truths:
Every child—whether raised in security or through hardship—is deeply loved by God and impressionable to the example set before them. To bless children is to point them toward Christ through prayer, encouragement, mentoring, and faithful witness.
The rebuilding of our culture and the strengthening of the Church will come through transformed hearts—beginning with children. May we be faithful in guiding them toward Jesus.
