Introduction: Back to school, junior high and youth football seasons kick-off, the college students are back in town, and we have another Big Money Giveaway winner!
In this episode, we welcome Christie Ransom from the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce to share some of the great things the Chamber is doing in our community. Christy has been President and CEO of the Chamber since 2019. Christy and her team are making things happen here in the Winona area. They offer a number of different services and programs to help businesses and non-profit organizations create visibility, promote economic development, connect within the community, and build relationships.
The Chamber has also done a fantastic job of bringing together industry and educational opportunities by creating partnerships with local businesses, higher education institutions, and our local schools to create pathways and internship programs for high school and middle school students through Synergy Academy.
And we can’t forget about the upcoming Big Muddy Brew n’ Que happening in Winona September 6 – 8. This is a free, family friendly event at Levee Park here in Winona. There are a couple tasting events that you need tickets for, otherwise there will be live music, kids activities, a cornhole competition, food trucks, and more.
