Physicist, retired pastor, and social and economic justice advocate Ron Baesler has led Habitat for Humanity trips to El Salvador, Guatemala, Brazil, Paraguay, Malawi, Vietnam, and Romania. Wherever he goes, he listens to, tells, and writes stories, including five books. Seeing the people's struggle has helped him more deeply appreciate the rights and opportunities we have in this country. He realizes how fragile our democratic institutions really are and believes our democracy is in danger if we're not careful.
