Production notes: This is the first episode of this podcast, but was not the first session played in this campaign. This started as a home campaign, and we played about 7 sessions before we ever started recording any of them. What you're going to hear in this episode is a one-on-one onboarding session between DM Lalo and a player, Seren, who at this point was just joining the campaign. We started recording with this session, initially just for note-keeping purposes, and realized that because it's an introduction into the world and the story for Seren, it works pretty well as an introduction for any listeners. Thus, the Southland Podcast was born. Because we weren't initially planning on releasing this sessions anywhere, the audio quality of the first few sessions you're going to hear is really really rough. We did our best in the editing, but fair warning. I hope that you'll stick with us despite this, because it does improve after a bit!
