Firstly I want to thank Bernie for talking to me about a very traumatic and sensitive topic which affected her and her family. Thankfully the story, eventually, is one of success. Bernie donated a kidney to her daughter after she was affected by E.coli poisoning. Bernie goes into every detail of the whole process, from when they noticed something was wrong to the day she went through surgery to remove her kidney. Its an extremely captivating story and Bernie opens up about a lot that when on in her family's life. I appreciate the honesty and openness so much & hopefully he can shed some light on the importance of organ donors.
