A. The Position of Daniel — 6:1-3
1. Darius appointed 120 Satraps over the kingdom of Babylon (v1)
2. Over the 120 satraps was 3 commisioners (one was Daniel) (v2)
3. Darius planned to appoint Daniel over the commisioners (v3)
B. The Conspiracy — 6:4-9
1. Conspirators tried to find something against Daniel politically (v4)
2. That failed, so tried to find something against him religiously (v5)
3. The conspirators came up with a plan and went to the king (v6)
4. Nobody can pray to anybody but you king, for 30 days (v7)
5. So king you should make an injuction and sign it into law (v8)
6. The king agreed and signed the decree into law (v9)
C. Daniel’s Faithfulness — 6:10-11
1. Daniel knew the law had been signed and continued to pray (v10)
2. They came and saw Daniel praying toward Jerusalem (v11)
D. The Accusation Against Daniel — 6:12-15
1. Didn’t you sign a decree, Darius? Yes (v12)
2. Daniel pays no attion to you or the decree (v13)
3. The king was distressed, tries to save Daniel (v14)
4. Recognize O king, that the law can’t be changed (v15)
