A. The Demand of Nebuchadnezzar — 2:1-30
1. The challenge to the wise men — 2:1-13
l. The king became furious and decreed to destroy the entire school, including Daniel and the three friends (v12-13)
2. Daniel’s Plea — 2:14-16
a. Daniel replied with discretion, discernment to Arioch (v14)
b. Why so urgent? (v15)
c. Daniel requests a meeting with the king (v16)
3. Daniel’s Prayer — 2:17-23
a. Daniel tells his three friends (v17)
b. They asked God for mercy and not to be destroyed (v18)
c. The mystery was revealed to Daniel in a night vision (v19)
4. The Praise — 2:20-23
a. Emphasizes His omniscience and omnipotence (v20)

4. To no visible appearance, the stone became a great mountain (35
