Living With Purpose

The Scripture of the day Is from:

Proverbs 19:21 (NKJV) ~ "There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel—that will stand."

The book of Proverbs is a treasure trove of wisdom, offering practical advice for living a life honouring God.

Proverbs 19:21 emphasises the sovereignty of God's counsel over our plans. While we may have many ideas and desires, God’s purpose ultimately prevails. This verse reminds us of the importance of seeking and aligning with God's will rather than relying solely on our understanding.

In our lives, we often encounter situations where our plans don’t work out as expected. It can be easy to feel discouraged or lost. However, this scripture reassures us that God's purpose will stand and that when we surrender our plans to God and seek His will, we can trust that He will guide us toward His purpose for our lives.

Living with purpose means understanding that our plans are secondary to God's sovereign will. It involves a shift from self-reliance to God-dependence. It means being open to His leading, even when it requires us to change our course.

This perspective brings peace, as it teaches that God's plans for us are always for our good and His glory, as stated in Jeremiah 29:11.

This alignment is crucial because it ensures that our lives are not just driven by personal ambitions but are rooted in God's eternal and perfect plan.

By living with a purpose that aligns with God's will, we find true meaning and satisfaction, knowing that we are part of a more extraordinary divine design that surpasses our understanding.
