Sure, you chose that job - in Construction, whether it's in the field, as a driver, a plant operator, a mechanic, welder, foreman - whatever the title. You also chose to support the company wherever you work from if you believe in the mission and vision of what you do there. The question is - do you know what one other does? Do you support each other? What impact do the silos make on the culture? On your customers? On the relationships that are crucial to business?

Yes, it takes time. Yes, it takes patience. It also takes an open mind. A person to ask Why have we accepted the relationship between the field and office as so disconnected? And - why are we hesitating to fix it? It's possible, but you'll have to lead. You'll have to admit what you've outgrown and where you want to really see change - then commit to it.
